If you already have an ADL device with an active Iridium service plan, the WXStar weather service is included at no extra cost.
Simply purchase the hardware and register your WXStar serial number in your account settings.
Before purchasing, make sure you have a way to use the Starlink Mini in your aircraft. There are many mounting options:
WXStar assumes you have a working Starlink Mini connection in your aircraft. We handle the weather data; you must ensure a reasonably reliable internet connection.
Weather data usage is very low. Even the cheapest Starlink "backup" plan (5 EUR/month) provides more than enough data for WXStar operation.
The WXStar comes with no warranty beyond the bare legal minimum. You are fully responsible for all risk arising from usage of WXStar hardware.
As a pilot, you are fully responsible for your flight. You should never base your in-flight decisions solely on weather data received via WXStar. Please use only official weather sources for flight planning and final in-flight decision making.
WXStar shall be used for added situational awareness only.
