WXStar - DIY Kit Assembly

WXStar DIY Kit Assembly

The WXStar is provided as a DIY kit. If you can fly a plane, you can assemble this!

What's in the Kit & Assembly

  • WXStar mainboard - fully assembled and tested
  • 3D printed enclosure - top and bottom parts
  • Screws & screwdriver

  • Fit the mainboard into the enclosure, secure with the provided screws. Detailed instructions are included with every kit.

    Mounting Holes

The enclosure offers two mounting patterns:

    Pattern Screws
    75 × 35 mm (VESA) M4
    75 × 75 mm M4, typically 25 mm long

The holes stop slightly below the top surface to keep the enclosure looking clean. To use them: drill through from the back side using the existing holes as a guide, insert nuts in the slots, and attach with bolts of the appropriate size.

    Why a DIY Kit?

    • Maker-friendly: many pilots enjoy 3D printing their own enclosures or modifying them.
    • Faster & cheaper to market: lower certification requirements allow us to deliver this at a much lower price than a fully certified consumer device.

    Certification Notice

The WXStar is a DIY kit for pilots only. It comes with no certification as a consumer electronics device nor as an EASA or FAA aviation device. It is fully up to the pilot and builder to determine if any certification is required in their specific context.

The producer of the WXStar DIY Kit is WXStar UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Berlin, Germany. Golze Engineering is a dealer for this product.
